Jannie Fiddler

Janine Fiddler is the Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines, arriving in August 2025. She was the Trade Manager and Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao (2022-2025) as well as the Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam (2018-2022). Prior to those assignments, she occupied the First Secretary (Commercial) position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 2014-2018 and was a Trade Commissioner (Mining, Oil and Gas) in the Regional Office in Vancouver from 2011 to 2014. She was posted as the Vice Consul and Trade Commissioner in Dubai, UAE from 2008 to 2014. Prior to her work at Global Affairs Canada, she worked at Industry Canada/Aboriginal Business Canada and the Aboriginal Business Service Network.

Janine is a member of the Garden Hill First Nation in Manitoba. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Winnipeg and an Advanced Diploma in International Business from Red River College in Winnipeg, MB.
